HAPPY 2009!!! 2008 was pretty okay and all, but hopefully this year will be even better than the last one was.

rob was here friday and saturday...it was fun...

15 more days of being home...i'm going to give work a call tomorrow and see if i can get some time there over the next two weeks. i was with my parents at this historic house in my town this afternoon and i saw one of my coworkers, a head teacher at the preschool, and she said they are desperate for help. so that's good for me!


1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
went to the south, walked across the brooklyn bridge, went to a concert where i moshed


2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
-do fantastically in my sophomore/junior year of college and not be a lazy ass about it: spring semester = PHAIL. fall semester = AWESOME. so i did keep it, partially.
-see the killers again (?!): no :'( i hope to in 2009.......
-get a good job on campus: no...but now that i have work study, i should be able to next semester. i reeeeeally want to tutor elementary school kids, but at this point i'll take anything.
-spend as much time as possible with my friends: done.

for 2009, my resolutions are similar.
-keep my grades high my junior/senior year, and make dean's list again
-spend as much time as possible with my friends and rob!
-further solidify what i want to do with my life (finding out if becoming a teacher is truly what i want)

my cousin amy


4. Did anyone close to you die?
no, thank goodness


5. What countries did you visit?
louisiana....it's like a different country compared to connecticut!


6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
a driver's license...oh yeah, that's another goal for the year, to get that.


7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
april 22, when rob and i became official =) and october 18 when i saw the aussie pink floyd, and december 30 when i saw the mighty mighty bosstones!


8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
getting 3 A's this past semester and fixing my life in other ways :)


9. What was your biggest failure?
screwing up spring semester and losing my scholarship =\


10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
i had like 6 colds over the course of the year...thank you so much, preschoolers!!


11. What was the best thing you bought?
well i only co-bought it, but my ipod :D

seeing the australian pink floyd & the mighty mighty bosstones, day & age, all of the weekends i got to visit rob over the summer

I. Happier or sadder? happier, and this time it's a more genuine happy
II. Thinner or fatter? a little fatter? i dunno, i don't think i changed
III. Richer or poorer? haha, about the same...all of that money from working all summer has been spent :x

spent more time with friends

i turned 20! rob was here all weekend before my birthday, and i just spent time with the family and had amazing cake

i don't know, outside of classes it was a pretty amazing year

the same as it's been - t-shirts, jeans, hoodies - occasionally getting dressy

my friends, rob, and music

i actually kept up with the election and other sorts of political things, which was a big first for me...all of the controversies surrounding that were big

rob, when i didn't see him much over the summer; bill, when he went off to college; friends that i spent a lot of time with last year who i didn't really see anymore

rob's friends! i love them all to death

don't be afraid to take chances, especially if it will change your life for the better. don't be afraid to lose the way of life you're used to; you'll never know if something is worth it if you don't try. (this is why rob and i are together. :D)
